The Reconciliation collection

A personalised apology book, written from your own story

When a text feels too small and flowers say nothing, what is left is the right words. You tell us what happened. We write a short book addressed to them that owns your part and leaves the door open, without asking for anything back.

  • 30 to 60 pages, six chapters

What I Never Knew How to Tell You

Chapter 1 — Why I am writing

Emma,

I am writing because I could not say it to your face, that night in November when you put your keys down on the hall table. I talked about work, about being tired, about everything except what mattered.

This book does not ask you for anything. It is not waiting for an answer. It exists because I owe you at least the truth about what I finally understood, even if it comes late.

I am going to tell you what I remember about us, what happened on my side, and what I own. I will not write what you felt. I do not know it, and it is not mine to say.

You can do whatever you like with these pages. Read them, keep them, close them.

James

A fictional example written to show the tone. Your book contains only what you tell us: your memories, your words, your commitments.

Who it is for

One collection, three kinds of bond

Your partner or your ex

After a fight that froze everything, a betrayal or a recent breakup. To own what you did, without trying to win an argument.

A parent or an adult child

A family rift, a son or daughter who no longer rings, a brother or a sister. To finally say what Christmas dinners never allowed.

A friend

An old misunderstanding, a friendship that faded without a word. To say thank you, own your part and offer to meet, if they want to.

How it works

Three steps, at your own pace

  1. 1

    Answer, then tell your story

Three safety questions first, then a guided interview: your shared story, what happened, what you own and what you are changing.

  2. 2

    Read your first page

As soon as the essentials are told, your first page and cover are ready. They are free; then you decide whether to start the writing.

  3. 3

    Review, then give it

Review each chapter and ask for as many corrections as you need. You receive the PDF and EPUB, plus the hardcover if you chose it.

The book

Six chapters, in the order of a real apology

Written in the first person and addressed to “you”. Its length follows what you share: we never pad the story to reach a page count.

  1. 1

    Why I am writing

The need to speak, without expecting a reply.

  2. 2

    Us

How it began and the good memories you share.

  3. 3

    What happened

The facts from your side, without blaming them.

  4. 4

    What I own

Your responsibility, stated plainly, with no “but”.

  5. 5

    What I am changing

Concrete commitments, the ones you gave.

  6. 6

    The open door

What you wish for them. Their choice will be respected.

Safeguards

A book to apologise, never to insist

Apologising is not the same as getting something back. We set rules that nobody, including us, can work around.

Three questions first

Has this person asked you not to contact them, or blocked you? Is there a court order, non-molestation order or police report between you? Has there been physical or emotional abuse? One “yes” and this project is cancelled, with nothing to pay. Your account stays open for another book.

No pressure in the text

No guilt-tripping, no ultimatum, no “I am nothing without you”. Every chapter is checked and rewritten if a sentence puts pressure on them.

Nothing invented about them

The book never says what they thought or felt. It only contains what you lived, saw or heard.

No promised outcome

We do not promise they will come back, reply or forgive. The book leaves them the choice, and that choice is theirs.

Frequently asked questions

What if she doesn't reply?

The book is written to be read without expecting a reply. It contains no ultimatum and no request for an answer, and we promise no outcome. Silence is an answer too, and it deserves respect.

Can I use it after a break-up?

Yes, as long as they have not asked you to stop contacting them. The book is not about getting someone back: it owns your part, thanks them for what existed and leaves the door open.

What if the person has blocked me?

Then we cannot write this book. Being blocked, or asked not to make contact, is a decision to respect: this project is cancelled, with nothing to pay. We suggest writing for yourself, without sending it, or talking to a professional.

Who writes the text?

The text is written by AI from your interview, then reviewed by you. It is not a human ghostwriting service. You can request as many corrections to the existing text as you need before final approval.

How long is the book?

30 to 60 pages in six chapters. The length depends on what you share: a short interview makes a short book, with no filler.

How quickly is it ready?

As a guide, the digital edition is usually ready within 48 hours of payment and a complete interview. The hardback is dispatched within 7 working days of your final approval, plus delivery.

Are my answers private?

They are kept with your project and deleted with it. Our emails never quote what you shared and their subject lines stay neutral. We never contact the person the book is for.

It is not too late to say it.
