Terms of Sale
Last updated: 28 October 2026
1. Seller
These Terms of Sale govern orders placed on notrelivre.com for delivery in Australia. The seller is LVL IA, a French simplified joint-stock company (SASU) with a share capital of €100, registered with the Caen Trade and Companies Register under number 991 803 594, whose registered office is at 15 rue de Lebisey, 14000 Caen, France (the “Seller”). Contact: contact@notrelivre.com.
2. Purpose
Notre Livre creates personalised books written from the memories shared by the customer (the “Customer”), with AI-assisted writing reviewed by the Customer before delivery. These Terms apply to every order placed on the Australian version of the site (notrelivre.com/en-au); placing an order requires accepting them.
3. Packages and prices
Three collections are offered, each in three packages:
- Eternal: Eternal Digital A$49 (80 to 140 pages, depending on your memories) · Eternal Printed A$99 (100 to 180 pages, depending on your memories) · Eternal Prestige A$129 (100 to 200 pages, depending on your memories)
- Tribute: Tribute Essential A$99 (100 to 150 pages, depending on your memories) · Tribute Signature A$129 (120 to 200 pages, depending on your memories) · Tribute Prestige A$159 (150 to 250 pages, depending on your memories)
- Memoir: Memoir Essential A$159 (120 to 200 pages, depending on your memories) · Memoir Signature A$219 (180 to 300 pages, depending on your memories) · Memoir Prestige A$279 (230 to 400 pages, depending on your memories)
The length of the book depends on the memories shared during the interview: the text develops those memories without inventing facts or dialogue. Each package states a page range; the minimum number of pages stated is guaranteed, and the maximum is reached only when the memories shared are rich enough. An estimate based on the memories already shared is shown before payment.
Prices are in Australian dollars and include tracked delivery to an Australian address. No GST, tax or fee is added at checkout. Every package includes the PDF and EPUB files; all packages except Eternal Digital include a laminated hardback. Photos are optional and unlimited. No gift wrapping is included. Crossed-out prices are former reference prices. The price applicable is the one shown at the time of payment.
Additional orders for a book already purchased. Extra copy: A$59 per copy, delivery to Australia included, identical to the approved book and in the same package, with no limit on quantity; copies in one order are sent together to a single address. Upgrade from Digital to Printed: you pay the price difference between the two packages, A$50, delivery included; the book is printed exactly as approved, with its page count, even if it is below the minimum stated for the Printed package. These items are made to your specifications and do not include any rewriting of the text.
3a. Reconciliation collection
The Reconciliation collection lets the Customer have a short, first-person book written to someone they wish to reconnect with or apologise to. Two packages: Reconciliation Digital at A$59 (PDF and EPUB) and Reconciliation Printed at A$99 (PDF, EPUB and a hardback book). Each book has six chapters and 30–60 pages, depending on the memories shared.
Prohibited use. The Customer must not use the book to contact anyone who has asked not to be contacted, has blocked them, is protected by an apprehended violence order, intervention order or other court order, has reported them to the police, or has been subjected to violence by them. Before the interview, the Customer answers safety questions; a positive answer cancels that project, with nothing to pay; the account remains open for other books. The Customer alone is responsible for how the book is delivered and for respecting the recipient's wishes. Repeated unwanted contact may amount to harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
No guaranteed outcome. The book expresses the Customer's memories, responsibility and commitments. Notre Livre does not guarantee any reply, forgiveness, reconciliation or effect on the recipient.
Cancellation. If Notre Livre finds after payment that one of these safeguards is not met, it may cancel the order and refund the Customer in full, even if writing has started. The upgrade from Reconciliation Digital to Reconciliation Printed follows the general upgrade terms, for a difference of A$40, delivery to Australia included.
4. Ordering process
The Customer may start with five messages without an account, then create a free account to continue the same conversation, or create an account right away. The Customer completes a brief with the information needed for the story. Once the brief is complete, the Customer receives a free preview (first page and proposed cover).
The Customer then chooses a package and pays. No payment is requested before the brief is complete. After payment, the Seller writes and typesets the book and submits it to the Customer for review. The Customer may request as many corrections of the existing text as needed before final approval, whatever the package. This does not include a free reprint after approval. After approval, the final files are prepared, the book is printed if applicable, and it is shipped.
5. Payment
Payment is made online by card through Stripe. No card data is stored by the Seller. The order becomes firm upon full payment; a receipt is sent by email.
6. Delivery
Timing is indicative. The digital version is usually ready within 48 hours of payment once the brief is complete. Printed books are printed on demand by the Seller’s printing partner and sent by tracked post; printing and delivery to an Australian address are estimated at 24 to 26 working days after the Customer approves the final text. Printed books ordered on this version of the site are delivered to addresses in Australia only. Any import taxes or fees, if charged by the authorities or the carrier, are paid by the recipient.
The Customer must provide a complete and accurate shipping address. Reshipping costs caused by an incorrect address may be charged to the Customer.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Each book is custom-made from the Customer’s memories. Before paying, the Customer is asked, with unchecked boxes, to accept these Terms, to request that the personalised digital book be created right away, and to acknowledge that once writing has started the order cannot be cancelled or refunded, except as provided in these Terms.
The Australian Consumer Law does not give a right to cancel or return an online purchase because of a change of mind, and each book is made to the Customer’s specifications.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. A book that is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described is therefore repaired, replaced or refunded as the law provides.
8. Conformity
The Seller guarantees that the book reflects the information provided in the brief. A factual error (name, date, place) reported within 14 days of delivery is corrected by a free partial rewrite of the passage concerned. Literary style, narrative structure and choice of scenes remain at the Seller’s discretion.
9. Use of the book
On delivery, the Customer receives a personal, non-exclusive, perpetual right to use the book free of charge: to read it, give it and keep it for private use. Any reproduction, publication, sale or commercial use requires the Seller’s prior written consent.
10. Personal information
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Customer service
For any question or complaint, write to contact@notrelivre.com. We reply within 48 hours on working days and look for an amicable solution first.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving the Customer of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules that apply where the Customer lives, including the Australian Consumer Law. The Customer may bring proceedings in the courts of the Australian state or territory where they live.
