Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale govern orders placed on notrelivre.com for delivery in the United States. The seller is LVL IA, a French simplified joint-stock company (SASU) with a share capital of €100, registered with the Caen Trade and Companies Register under number 991 803 594, whose registered office is at 15 rue de Lebisey, 14000 Caen, France (the “Seller”). Notre Livre creates personalized books written from the memories shared by the customer (the “Customer”), with AI-assisted writing reviewed by the Customer before delivery. These Terms apply to every order placed on the US version of the site; placing an order requires accepting them.

Three collections are offered, each in three packages:

• Eternal: Eternal Digital $35 (120 to 140 pages) · Eternal Printed $69 (150 to 180 pages) · Eternal Prestige $95 (180 to 200 pages)
• Tribute: Tribute Essential $69 (120 to 150 pages) · Tribute Signature $95 (150 to 200 pages) · Tribute Prestige $119 (200 to 250 pages)
• Memoir: Memoir Essential $119 (200 pages) · Memoir Signature $165 (300 pages) · Memoir Prestige $209 (400 pages)

Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where applicable. Shipping to US addresses is included. Every package includes the PDF and EPUB files; all packages except Eternal Digital include a laminated hardcover. Photos are optional and unlimited. No gift wrapping is included. Crossed-out prices are former reference prices. The price applicable is the one shown at the time of payment.

The Customer may start with five messages without an account, then create a free account to continue the same conversation, or create an account right away. The Customer completes a brief with the information needed for the story. Once the brief is complete, the Customer receives a free preview (first page and proposed cover).

The Customer then chooses a package and pays. No payment is requested before the brief is complete. After payment, the Seller writes and typesets the book and submits it to the Customer for review. The Customer may request as many corrections of the existing text as needed before final approval, whatever the package. This does not include a free reprint after approval. After approval, the final files are prepared, the book is printed if applicable, and it is shipped.

Payment is made online by card through Stripe. No card data is stored by the Seller. The order becomes firm upon full payment; a receipt is sent by email.

Timing is indicative. The digital version is usually ready within 48 hours of payment once the brief is complete. Printed books usually ship within 7 business days after the Customer approves the final text; carrier transit time is added. Printed books ship to addresses in the United States only.

The Customer must provide a complete and accurate shipping address. Reshipping costs caused by an incorrect address may be charged to the Customer.

Each book is custom-made from the Customer’s memories. Before paying, the Customer is asked, with unchecked boxes, to accept these Terms, to request that the personalized digital book be created right away, and to acknowledge that once writing has started the order cannot be cancelled or refunded, except as provided in these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right the Customer may have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived by contract.

The Seller guarantees that the book reflects the information provided in the brief. A factual error (name, date, place) reported within 14 days of delivery is corrected by a free partial rewrite of the passage concerned. Literary style, narrative structure and choice of scenes remain at the Seller’s discretion.

On delivery, the Customer receives a personal, non-exclusive, perpetual right to use the book free of charge: to read it, give it and keep it for private use. Any reproduction, publication, sale or commercial use requires the Seller’s prior written consent.

These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving the Customer of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of the state where the Customer lives.
